We opened for a Tom Petty Tribute Bank on this night. It was also a really awesome gal's birthday celebration and the place was PACKED! Really wish the Petty band wasn't fronted by a delusional douche bag who thought he should be treated like the real Tom Petty, though.
lyrics
I changed my mind three times before I opened my eyes to the morning
My best friend is lying next to me, but she's asleep
I do not dare to wake her up
Just to say that I'm fucked up
On all these empty promised
With bottles, doing time
Come together if you want to make things better
Because the way we live is miserable
Take advantage
And take back the reigns of how you live your life
Or take your fucking time
If you wanna follow, let's go
Chase me down this rabbit hole
'cause I could use a new lifeline
Not another pill to swallow
Just stay gold
If you wanna go and get it, get it while you're still young and restless
Leave it all on the front line
Take the left, that's right
I laugh it off
To say the least
Some cliches have become belief
But all you cherry pricks were cherry-picked to satisfy my rage
I know we all can't beat the clock
But if I could I'd smash it all to pieces
It's overdue
You can't keep growing if you never wanna leave your living room
I'm just a problem child
Running away with imagination
And you're a problem child who's got a way with communication
If you wanna follow
Let's go
Chase me down
Just do what feels right
